looks clean.... I'm not an exhaust flow master... but don't you think that the flow coming from the newly opened third port (like the Porsche PSE) it's going to be conflicting with the almost aligned one coming from the cats therefore pushing the exhausts back to the cats? What was your reasoning on doing this? I have seen either one of the other but never both at the same time... but again, I know nothing about this and the car sounds awesome....

The amount of gas going through the can itself is less than the gas goes to the bypass pipe. Also the pipe is position lower than the big pipe. The reason for the second bypass pipe is to get the sound more aggressive.

makes sense.... if the sound without the mufflers is rated (for example) 10 what would you rate this hack you did?

Now I need to buy some 997 mufflers!

In the past year, I have heard Cargraphic, Gembella, TechArt, GHL, Agency Power, Ztek, PSE and my own Fabspeed. I can tell you that my exhaust sound more aggressive than those mentioned. I had Fabspeed exhaust before and I was really disappointed so I sold it. I do run & meet every few weeks for the last 19 months with Pcars members. They thought my Fabspeed was a bad investment and I agreed.

To answer your question, I did have muffler bypass installed on my car 3 months ago just to hear how loud. Damn, they were too loud. So I can tell you that with this mod. it is 7 on my grading.

Fister on Rennlist has been doing this mod on 996s and 997s. He had a technical reasoning for not running both pipes. All you need is the one H pipe between the existing pipes on the can for great sound. I think stage one which would be more quiet should be cutting off the end cap and doing the elbow connector, stage two loud would be doing just the H pipe. There are airflow issues with combining 1 and 2 and the only guys I see doing this are the guys from Gemballa...

I was going to Mod my AP's that i bought...it seems that the P-Car exhaust is either to soft or to loud...I was going to do a 1" or .75" tube from the in to out pipes...figured that this would let a small amount of sound through...i had a set of M&K's and with the cabrio they were toooo loud...
