996 performance upgrades

Just bought a 1999 996 and looking for advice on best bang for the buck performance upgrades (suspension, exhaust, short shift, pedals, easy weight reduction, air intake, computer mods, etc., etc.). Also, in the market for any gently used performance parts....

Thanks,
Chris

From what I've read on exhaust, the PSE is louder, but no more power....free flow Cats/or Cat by-pass is where the power gains come from....is this correct?

Been there done that -
B&M Shortshift kit - a must for a stock 996
PSS9 Coilover suspension lowers it and better handling
RSS intake Plenum - adds 20hp
EVOMS - adds a couple of hp but adds better sound and better air intake compliments the plenum
H&R swaybars - not needed but car handles like a gocart now
for exhaust look at M&K Exhaust - they have the best sound in my opinion and soon to be on my 99.

I'm getting an Aasco flywheel put on next week. I will let you know how it feels. But from my past experience with lightweight flywheel, it made a nice difference.

Would love to go the SC route...but seems like big $$$.... the TPC set up is $10K and installation has to be at least $3K, then since I have the engine out might as well go light weight flywheel, etc., etc,... becomes a $15-20K project....

LOVE THAT SPEEDART NOISE BUT nothing compared to the pse with cats and headers. the noise that comes out of my car makes everyone around me say thats how porsche should sound. No offense its a great sound but pse is still king for sound, its just the cost and no hp gains that make the aftermarket stuff more attractive.

Ben iam trying to get a youtube on my car but time is killing me. I will make a complete 3 min video of pure music. I drove it yesterday finally and the noise is crazy..

1) PSE no questions
2) short shifter
3) Get a better suspension.
4) Headers and max speed high flow cats.
