EVOMS Intake Installed!

EVOMS Intake Installed!
Butt dyno doesn't suggest any improvement but it does sound very exotic above 4.5K rpms.
Question, I bought it used and didn't get the coupler that connects the throttle body to intake (it's huge like 4in). Does anyone know where I can get a nice quality one? I ended up cutting some of the AEM on my Prelude, it works but I'd like to get something I can keep on there forever.

Yeah I feel like I lost a little torque down low but I don't really care it screams up top. I don't know it might be the sound that throws my senses off, guess I will see when I get some more time behind the wheel. Noticeably better throttle response. Up next is the bypass pipes.

Here they are. This is the 1st gen EVOMS intake I guess, suggestion if you get this one, remove the bolt holding the airbox down and remove the airbox, it makes it like a 10 minute job if you do that.

I got it off ebay, got a steal on it ($90), the guy who was selling did an awful job on the ad which was good for my bid
I really didn't notice too much, 2 days after I installed the muffler bypass pipes and with both I notice a lot more in the mid range and up top. Not sure if the combo helps more or not. It does sound very good either way, and for $90 it was worth it. It's such a simple design I don't understand why other companies don't make these, guess not enough of a market.

Yeah $90 for the intake, and I got the bypass pipes for like $125 off of "daytrader" here on the forum. So all in all it was very worth while. Keep your eyes out in the for sale section, usually you can get a steal on something like an intake every now and again. I've heard the K&N's are a hassle to put together but they are pretty cheap, if you found one used you could probably have them ship it assembled! I bet you could probably find the same intake that is made for another car that would fit on the 911 haha, seriously it's the simplest design.

How the heck some of you guys have such sensitive **** dynos I'll never understand. You feel like you lost a little torque down low? How absurd, nonsensical, asinine is that claim? LOL
Nothing personal, but yes, I am a huge fan of the EVOMS, though I can only hear it at WOT in the upper reaches of the rev band in 3rd gear or 4th (popo).
Lovely mod. I just switched out the air filter.
