I have the Fabspeed Bypass pipes and I have noticed that around 3200-3400 rpm, the exhaust note gets much louder and stronger. It goes from mild to super loud. It does the same thing my old 07 Z06 used to do, but that had butterfly valves. Anyone have any ideas?

Interesting- are you talking louder inside the car or outside? if inside, it could be simply resonance inside the cabin increasing the percieved sound volume.

yes it's the inferior engineering of porsche's variocam to honda's vtec because in the honda s2000 unless you are going wot, you never feel that surge in power.
