VF Engineering Coming Out With Stage 2 Supercharger!!
Just got off the phone with Shaun, he said the kit will be ready in 2-3 months.
It will be an upgrade from the stage 1 kit, meaning just a smaller pulley and different software, maybe a few other tweaks.
The kit will supposedly make well over 500 hp at the crank, I am getting very very excited because I have been thinking about moving up to a turbo, but I love the feel of linear power.
Do you guys think this kit will be a lot better in power-wise on the track/canyons vs. a turbo with all the lag?
Let's start a nice convo. about these kits!

Vf's working on my 997 as we speak. Very excited, they're raising the boost by 1psi. Ill post any updates as soon as I get them. They sent me a video of my car during their baseline test. My car did 295.8 to the wheels with no mods except for rims. Can't wait to see what the final dyno figures will be.

great....timing is everything can't complain though. Everytime i crank her up it's like driving it for the first time all over again.

I hope theyre giving you a big discount since you guys are test subjects... isnt this unkown territory for the carrera? 500+ is some serious power for the 11.3 compression... But Im hoping that it will be strong enough, so that I can do it to mine one day... PLS keep us posted.

A friend of mine has a Honda S2000, 11:1 compression, forged internals much like the 996. He's running around @ 12psi. I think we are able to handle more than 5.5psi, but anything over 8psi I would think could cause some issues. 500 crank hp isn't that hard to achieve, and they give you EVERYTHING you need to upgrade your engine to handle the power. I too hope this drops the price of the "Stage I" kit. Stage II is probably just a different pulley and tune job.

Sc
WOW!! this would be a serious piece! I came out of a SC (someothercar) prior to the Porsche and I tell you I had a turbo on it and then put the SC and all i can say is that from off the Line to top speed it just pulls!!! I was running 21LBS of boost but only had 9.2:1 compression so i would say anything over 8-9 lbs of bost would be in serious need of race fuel.
Keep me posted i am very intrested!

Racing fuel is not necessary with 8 - 9# of boost if you properly manage the heat of both the engine and the charge. Remember, there is a point of deminishing return as you increase boost. Going from 5 - 6 psi is alot differnt than going from 6 - 7. There is a point that is also reached where your gear ratios just cannot handle the quickness. 1st gear becomes the weakest link in the performance of the car.
