oh yeah- I remember the bimmer boards. I used to hang there all the time when I had my E36 and E46.
here's another video of the dyno run. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3od84Ps3uU
Turn up volume for beginning. I'm going to shoot some more drive-bys next week after we get a new battery for the sony pro-cam, audio should be much better.

^ I'm being told the first production systems will be made by end of June, with special pre-orders being taken sometime before then.
Keep in mind I have gotten the OK for an "intro price" GB deal for forum members, and I will start a new thread once I know price, dates etc. I guess I will be the one coordinating this from the forum end.

So hey all- Got a last-minute inspiration to drive to Vegas today, presently chillin' poolside at the Ritz Carlton typing this and watching the sun melt into the desert hills.
Not a bad way to kick off a weekend
This was the first "real" road trip with the new mufflers. I have to say they are very liveable on a long drive. I noticed there are two distinct resonance humps inside the cabin, at 2500 rpm and 3500 rpm under accelleration load. The resonance comes in and fades out as you pass these ranges.
Cruising 85 in 5th gear (I have a tip) I'm at about 3000 rpm, and things are very quiet in the cabin- almost to stock levels. So there is a definite sweet spot with the mufflers that lends itself nicely to cruising speed.
The resonance sound is not harsh or overbearing, but it is noticeably louder than stock cans or regular sport mufflers like AP. If you are a stock muffler or PSE guy, these are probably not for you. If your wife rides with you and likes quiet cars, she'll probably complain. But if you want the more agressive sound of straight pipes without the insane headache inside the car, these fit the bill. I can definitely live with them every day without thought.
I need to go hit some mountain twisties soon- I noticed that I like the increased sound of the exhaust as it gives me better feedback where I am in the rpm range. I find myself not looking at the tach anymore and strictly shifting by ear and feel. They would probably be good for track use since you can now show up with straight pipes and not **** everyone off or leave with your head ringing. heh.
Performance wise I do notice more grunt at the top where things used to flatten out a bit, and a bit stronger pull off the line.
Have a good weekend all-
