Sold my pcar today... gone baby gone...

So i'm feeling very porscheless today guys...

Sold it today to a very nice guy in Sweden, who should actually be signing up as a member here on the 6.
I don't typically get attached to cars, but it was really tough watching my "black beauty" drive off down the street without me.. *what a great car*- I'll miss her. I just hope my next one is as solid and reliable.

*what a great car* (just had to say that again..)

I think I have my mind set on a 05/06 997S coupe, 6speed. Wish me luck on my hunt!!

Ya it's tough parting with an old friend, but once you have your new one - you will be like a kid in a candy store trying to mod it to your preference.

Once you get your 997, make sure you post some pics in here.

You had one fine looking/clean 996. Well, since you're moving on up, congratulations!
How did it end up in Sweden?
Will you disclose the sale price? I understand if you would prefer to keep this private.

Good luck on the next, a 997S sounds fantastic

Enjoy the hunt

Thanks for the comments guys-

Arling- I still have the CTT, not selling that for awhile

Doc / Redridge- i'll still be lurking here at the 6 as usual just because I love the crowd

Ben- Yep, I definitely want an 09 .. but that will have to wait until next year.

LS- I had the car FS here and on AutoTrader, the guy who bought it contacted me and one of his family members (local here in LA) came by and handled the transaction. There are a lot of US cars being purchased by other countries since our USD is in the toilet.

Dante- thanks, will definitely post pics when I find my 997

...sucks knowing I can't go for a drive this weekend!!!

Kurt, sorry to hear you sold that black baby. But again, it won't be long for us to see you in another 911 with that killer exhaust. Hahaha!

PS: Sherm is putting on the AH exhaust for the weekend at C&C. He wants to get full attention at Porsche Marque. There will be some head turners and "what's the F...".

Peter what's up man- YEAH- I miss my 996. Owning that car was a very good experience and sold me on owning Porsche. There really is no subsitute.

Brian is holding my set of AH mufflers and will change them to fit my 997S (when I get one!!). I did not sell them with my car, no way!!
He has also finished the design of AH mufflers for the 997 cars, so spread the word that they will be available in September. sick!

Brian told me about the C&C- Sherm's car is going to sound bad azz!!! You going to shoot some video? when / where is it- I might try to make it and bring my cam.

Yeah that is the new AH mufflers sold by www.afterhoursautomotive.com
It's the best set of mufflers I have ever had the pleasure of abusing... lol

The cool thing is, it is only insane loud when on WOT- When you are cruising, it is mellow. -and even though it is loud aaz outside the car at WOT, it is subdued inside the cabin. Very neat design.
