For regular driving, I've got it in there. When I go to the track or auto-X, it comes out.

Thanks for the replies, guess I will just leave my spare in. It will probably be worthwhile in the long run. The last time I had to call a tow was on my Boxster due to a bad water pump - and had to wait 2 hours for a tow truck. Would hate to go thru the same with a tire if I can change it myself in .20 min.

you know two of my other cars didnt even come with a spare.

but as both the 996's we have did, they just sit in the trunk. if you really need storage space, you have the backseat anyways.


or make two trips and enjoy the drive!

My subwoofer is an intregal part of the stock spare tire. Reus installed back when new. Perfect fitment and would never know it didn't come that way.
