We ll make efforts to buy a porsche, because i am a biggest fan porsche, i love it and i want it. I don t want to by a 996 and after that to change the engine or gearbox , i don t want engile failuri or some **** i hear the 2001' 996 got engine failure and problems like this , it will cost a lot of money and i dont have those money. I think the budget is 40-60 k. wich is the best choise for me ? model, engine, year etc etc. aand about gearbox , manual or tiptronic ?
And how about maintenance ?? Can you tell me some prices for brakes, clutch, oil change, filters and all of this, how much KM they works.

i'm not sure in which way are you referring porsche 996's or 997's hard to drive? i think if you don't know who to drive a manual transmission, you should probably rent a car or learn on a different car first. porsche clutches, brakes, etc. are not the cheapest cars in the world to replace clutches, transmissions, etc. as for the HP, well, i think anyone that is buying a pcar to truly enjoy what it was designed to do, then you should invest some money in driving classes, DE's, DS's, autox, etc. Learn the car and what it can do, but the most useful tool is teaching yourself these skills first.

i think what you are referring to about the 2001 996 having problems is actually the 1999 with RMS leak issues on some cars. not all have this issue though.

if you are seriously looking at getting a porsche, talk to a mechanic shop and ask about maintenance costs for upkeep. also, before you buy a car, do a carfax check to see its past history.

40-60k US dollars? If you do not need the speed of an S or turbo, buy a low mileage 997 - if you are scared to drive it, buy an automatic. If you want to have fun, buy a manual.

It seems like wherever you are maintenance may be a nightmare, so buy the newest, lowest mileage car you can.

No no, i live in europa and it's 40-60 k EUR, i think i will buy the car from germany.
i am looking for a 911 i love this car, and i love to drive, i think will be the manual .. you guys what prefer manual or auto ?
And wich are 4WD ( four wheel drive ) and wich are RWD ? i saw 911 also with 4wd.
What can i buy with these money, is it enought for a 997 ? i want to be powerful and i am not scared to drive i was asking if i can to drive correctly and exploait at maximum.
I know the theoretical instruction for driving a RWD car and i want to learn more, but how can i learn more to drive a rear engine car ?
I will drive some months a car with 80 HP and after that i will buy a porsche.

i MUCH prefer the manual verses tiptronic or automatic. i like having more control of the RPM's in my car among other reasons.

do you plan on ever taking your car to the track or autox? or just a daily driver?

the way you can learn to drive a RWD is practice, practice, practice. but like i mentioned before, getting seat time with an instructor or professional would be very helpful to you.

They also have traction control as an option as well.

And how about 4wd vs RWD ? i don t like 4wd because will understeer, and no fun , no donuts, no drift , the clutch is over more quickly. you got more control with RWD i think.
What do you recomand me, carrera, carrera 4, carrea 4s etc etc wich are the differents of this , i want the version with 355 HP, 325 is to little, or bmw 335i with 306 hp or a porsche 911 with 355+ hp

for the hp you are looking for, you should look at 997 carrera s (2005+). The c4, c4s is 4wd. Good luck.

Sorry, but I really hesitate at very young people driving these cars. Any high horsepower car in the hands of a young, relatively inexperienced, highly testosteroned driver is a recipe for disaster. However, the cars are very easy to drive responsibly... you (or your mother) need to ask yourselves if you can control your right foot after only a few years of driving...

I understand, i will be careful.
I was looking in germany ( mobile.de ) for some 911 , and a 2005's 911 starts 60k euro and growing up. I don know if i can buy a 911 , it's expensive i think. In US the prices are more cheap.
I am looking at porsche boxster or cayman, they have a good price a think and look nice. I like 996 to, but the 997 it's just phenomenal, wonderful .. !!
ABout experience, don't worry i am good driver and prudent, this is my dream .. to drive !
