Input on Sway Bars and Drop Links
#16
The H&R swaybars use the stock droplinks - so is there a plus to swapping droplinks if the swaybars are H&R ? Why because you can reduce the length of the drop link? Please explain in detail
And what droplinks are the best and hopefully not the most expensive

David- I think it is so you an adjust preload on the aftermarket swaybars after installation. The other method is to cut and shorten the stock links. It is advised to get quality links that do not have a reported history of loosening up, clunking or breaking. Can't go wrong with Tarret.

As well as flatter cornering. it allows you to dial out some of the inherent push/understeer.
I have the H&R's using stock drop links and have been very pleased.
With my 18" wheels, they worked best set to Med/Med.
With my wider 19's, I changed the setting to Soft/ Med and it seems to work best.
This has been for agressive mountin twisty driving, not track use.

so to avoid preload the links should fit to the sway bar hole for length when the vehicle is jacked up with no weight on the wheels or with the vehicle on the ground on a level surface?
can you PM me a price for your links please.

What's your complete set up? Are you using Blistens? What's a reasonable package?
