Input on Sway Bars and Drop Links

I've installed PSS9s on my 99 996 C2 and am considering new sway bars and maybe drop links. Any advice or comments on what product to use or avoid--or are the stock sway bars and links fine?

GT3 sway bars with Agency Power droplinks would be my pick. They have had a few issues as of late on the fronts, but the rears seem pretty soild. My .02

Unless you want to be adjusting/ tightening your links every 15 min stay away from the APs. See this thread https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...droplinks.html
I went non adjustable droplinks with the GT3 sway bars, much more solid and you know they're not going to come loose. No clunking either! Plus, once you get the settings dialed in how often are you really going to alter them? Good enough for GT3s and RSRs, good enough for me...

H&R sway bars are GT3 spec but made to fit your car. I have them they're great and not expansive.

I saw your post on the APs. The AP rears are solid. Did you have the latest ver or something else? If so, how did these loosen?

The H&R setup is very nice ; I almost went that route as well. Eibach also has a decent kit too.

The rears don't loosen but there is play in the joint causing 'clunking'. Quoting AgencyPower: "The rear end links use 10MM spherical bearings and will have some movementto them."
That's why I ended swapping them out too. Now I have $400 worth of droplinks sat in a bag never to be used again, $400 I could have used for some other mod... You pay your cash and take your chance!

Obviously wasting cash is not the point of the thread I guess the operative question is what droplinks did you replace the APs with??

I used the stock links on the rears, they fit fine, and had the stock fronts modified. As is the stocks are aprox 30mm too long (I think) for the centre hole on the GT3 sway bar. My installers usually set up Manthey-Racing GT3s and knew what to do, they basically cut them and reweld back together. It's a common fix and one done on Rennlist alot. It only cost be the labour to cut and reweld, no extra parts, good job as my wallet was empty by then!

Greg - street or track use? Do you plan on having the car corner balanced?

The best way to maximize your pss9 upgrade is to go with gt3 or h&r sways, get high quality drop links and have the car corner balanced.

just to add another question to this but can you use regular GT3 front links with the GT3 sway on the front of the regular C2. im guessing not if dervish had his cut and welded but it would be great if all that was needed to do this swap was front and rear sway bars and a pair of GT3 front drop links

Not from what I was told when I asked the same question. The GT3 droplinks have the rose joints facing the opposite way.
