Help! Check Engine Light 0160

Got 0160 from the Code reader, something about the O2 sensor circuit not responding or something. Check light came on since K&N filter is installed. Car has 58k miles. Could this be the MAF or the just the O2 sensor? Anyways I can find out?

Check the wiring harness on the after cat sensor for bank 2. You may have pinched one of them. If you have a scanner, look at the reading on that sensor and make sure it fluctuates up and down as you accelerate and then let off the gas.

Error would have nothing to do with the MAF.

Fault condition:

Interrruption of signal wire or ground wire of 1 oxegon sensor
Oxegon sensor heating not functioning
ECM Final stage Faulty

Possible causes:

Wiring harness
Oxegon sensor
DME Control Unit

The first thing to check is the function of the oxegon sensor as described above. If the voltage fluctuates between 100 mV and 800 mV oxegon sensor is okay.

I reset the code, drove car with no check light for at least 10-15 mins. On local to freeway, from normal driving to punching it... Still no check light. Until i came back and car was just idling, then all of a sudden the light came back on. If it was the wiring harness, i would think that the light would come right back on after the reset, or at least under the extreme driving conditions. Maybe the sensor is just starting to give away? Will do the sensor test later. Anyone has similar experience?

ok I am about to check the sensor, which side is the Bank2? Is it the one on the driver side or passenger side?

You need to drive the car through what they call a "drive cycle" before the engine light will come back on. Some scanners will say "codes ready" that means the drive cycle is complete. Most cars are around 50 to 60 miles of driving before all codes are ready.
