305 25 19 options

I have some I forged 19 x 8.5 ft & 19 x 11 rear (monacos) on a 02 996 cab narrow. Was running rosso 305 25 19's then switched to toyo 295 30 19's last time when I couldn't find new 305's. Prefer to go back to the 305's, but availability and cost pushing me to find some new options. At the time of the 295 switch, also had Lucent install PSS9's, but handling seems weak, bouncy in the rear on corning? Lucent saying maybe it's the tire (profile to high?), hence my hesitation to go back to the 295 30 set up. What are you guys running in place of the 305's with my same rim sizes? Apologies for the LONG post, but want to figure this one out! Thanks JS!

liked the look of the 305 (25 profile). Never had the opportunity to run them w/ my pss9's. But since having the pss's on the 295's and the car not felling that tight, trying to figure out if it's the tires/set up. Yeah just saw some 305's on ebay, they want $850 a pc? Plus not sure how old they are, heard tires that sit around for awile not used, get "dry"? I think?

I had 295 30 on 19's but they felt bouncy and rubbed....went with 305/25 Pirelli's...no problems other than trying to find them and cost....

no rub on mine, just the bouncyness. Interesting you had the same, wonder if it's the higher sidewall? Yeah the cost and inventory on the 305/25's is the reason I'm trying to find other options. Been reading some old posts on this topic, saw some people mention 305/30's?

I have been trying to find to replacements for my rear tires. They are also on a 19x11 wheel and my car is a 01 C4 NB. Currently I have 315/25/19s but I am on factory suspension. Trying to find these have been fun. To make it worse my front tires are perfect so I am really stuck trying to find the exact same tire I already have. I have ContiSport 2s which seem to be going away. I have been considering different sizes to help with my search so I feel your pain.
I would say go back to what you had with a used tire at first to see if you are right about the difference. I have seen a lot of tires with about 75% tread left on Ebay so you should have no issue trying this out without having to buy new tires right now. Good luck.

Subscribed. Same issues. My fronts still look brand new even though my second set of rears is almost done.

I went from 305's to 285's. They fit fine, but I preferred the 305's. The cost and availability is a factor though...
