GT3 Bumper and Champion Springs DONE!!!
Hello everyone, it is with much excitement that I announce the completion of phase 1 of my upgrades on my car. I have completed the GT3 bumper upgrade, the Champion motorsports spring install, and wheels are blacked out. I think I'm done unless anyone has suggestions...ALL suggestions will be taken into consideration as I am now bored and want to make additional modifications without looking tacky or acura integra-ish HAHA.

Thanks NS....want to hear the best part of the photo shoot at the old gas station? The pumps still read 0.26 cents per gallon!!! unbelievable. Wish i could tone down the color on the car but I kinda like the screamin red with black wheels and colormatched red hardback sport seats. I will look into the silver crests, thanks.

Contrary to what your local Porsche dealer will tell u....NOT A DARN THING. Every dealer i called said i would need to change out the radiator tunnell/air scoop pieces (WRONG!) and that i would need to buy the GT3 trim piece (WRONG!) and a dummy placeholder for the 3rd radiator (WRONG again) the only people who knew about the conversion were the guys up at sunset porsche parts in Oregon. It was a perfect swap and all i bought was some extra clips to hold the spoiler onto the bumper....55 cents a pop at Rusnak Porsche.

Cool, I got a line on a new Cup bumper for $750 and its already painted my color. I think I am going to pull the trigger on it.

PULL IT!!!!! this was the best $1200 i spent on the car since i bought it (that was parts and labor). It changed the whole stance and gave it a more aggresice look...no more "smiley face" front bumper....it looked too happy all the time with the stock 996 narrow body bumper on there.

Looks great! On a side note, I believe the rear bumpers are identical on MKII 996...so with a MKII wing, your aerokit would be complete..I think.

Thanks everyone...your comments make it all worth it. Thanks for the info Brian...by the way gentlemen, bk12 who just posted above was the original owner on that GT3 bumper...it was silver when i took it off his hands (and living room floor) and is now stylin on my car. I think the pictures make the car look better than it really is in person...the person who snapped the pics was pretty good with angles and color saturation/tint.
