Talking 2003 996 C4S Window Problem

Bonjour,

My passenger window drops completely about 1 in every 5 door openings. Has anyone had this problem before and know how to resolve the issue?

May be faulty wiring in the loom of the door hinge?

Sounds like a possible control module issue, or even a faulty switch. You'll probably need to take it to the dealer so they can look at any error codes.

The percentage can be calculated by using the prime rate plus a 2% margin compounded daily.

Dude... just messin with ya.... I see that you're new here. Post pics of your ride, introduce yourself. Use the search function... stick around. Hopefully we'll see more of you, rather than just post a quick question. Just seems like, lately people only come on here to ask quick questions w/o any research or never see them again. There were some cool old guards here, but they seem to be disappearing...

aside from that... your window regulator is going south. This issue has been covered here and on Rennlist many times.

Thanks. I was pretty pissed off by getting nailed with a bunch of stupid comments to my posts. I had not heard of 6speedonline before and thought I would post my questions that I had about my car. I'll take you off of my ignore list.
Thanks again for explaining the situation.

Dan- I guess I would probably be a bit annoyed as well.. lol - Seriously though, this is probably the best pcar forum on the net. Really good crew of folks here (including Redridge, for sure).
I joined up just like you "happened across it", and have been here ever since. 80% of the knowledge I've obtained about pcars came from other members here, all more than willing to help out. Yeah you get some knucklehead wise cracks and goofing around on occasion, but it is more due to the good nature of members here. Overall it is a very professional and enthusiastic crowd. You can't get overly serious about some of the posts or it will drive you mad ;P.

The other 20% of stuff I learned came from Loren at www.renntech.org and just taking things apart / figuring things our for myself. You really must join renntech, great site for hard facts, manuals, TSB's etc on your car. Loren (site admin) is a pcar genius. $20 donation gets you life membership and full access.

As to your window- I thought it might be the regulator but the fact that it goes all the way down makes me think it might be a more involved issue. Try Loren over at renntech. He may actually know what this is off the top of his head.

I have a 2003 C4S and once in a month, my window would not come down when the door is opened, so can't close the door.
