Vortex spoke to VF today. They essentially said there is really nothing that can be done about this and it's a maintenance issue and it's a problem with the porsche engines and the crankcase. Sounds more like a minor SC design flaw to me as they could have incorporated this into the design. They suggested cleaning the intake more often. Which is easier said than done considering it's billed as a four hour job. They did say you could use the "catch can", but that would require another maintenance item and could possibly create an issue if it over-filled. We decided to just let it continue to vent into the intake. It doesn't seem to hurt anything and the SC could always use a little more oil anyway 
I did appreciate that VF took the time to try and work through this. This whole intake setup on the SC system, although it works, is a pain in the butt to work on. I realize there is limited room, but I wish there a simpler way to get at it. When I had the system installed originally, I had just assumed you could remove the fender well to get up in there but apparently that is not the case and you have to remove the whole intercooler. I guess you want to play you gotta pay

I guess you want to play you gotta pay I already explained above how you would automatically drain the oil in the catch can back into the sump.

I dont see how the weight of oil under gravity can open a check valve... it's gotta be a big tank to do that... I can barely fit a compact car can in there.

Gravity will hold the valve open when engine is off.

sorry for being such a supercharger noob but i must not be driving my card hard enough since i haven't noticed this oil spilling/mess issue yet.
where exactly is this oil appearing? is this something clearly visible when you had the rear hood open? anybody kindof enough to circle on a picture what i should be looking for?

You can't see it. It's inside the intake plumbing. The crankcase vents into the intake where the oil can collect. That's why some folks plug that and vent the crank case into a catch can. It doesn't appear to hurt anything.
I am amazed at how loud the intake is with a clean air filter I would have it cleaned more often if it wasn't four hours to R&R it.

I know you sent me directions before... but could I ask you for a favor that would benefit everyone in this thread?
Would you mind posting instructions for the R&R of the intake? I would really like to do it myself but I was a little intimidated with all the stuff that had to be moved out of the way.
