Shipping Car....MI to CT......
Any hints and "beware's" would be appreciated....I asked the relo company for a dedicated covered hauler....they'll agree to covered, but will put other cars with mine....I'm not excited about my car taking a tour of the country without me!!!!
Anyone know of a good private hauler that I could get a quote from to compare? I think I just want a guy with a one car trailer - door to door, meet me there in 12 hours!!!!!
Thanks in advance for any input....and I'm sorry ahead of time if there are any search ****'s here that will ding me for this!!!!!

Seems like a Google search for "auto transport" would at least give you other services to compare pricing. I did the search and found a site called "www.transportreviews.com".
I would imagine a private hauler is going to be extremely expensive since they are not likely to have an very active "network."

I used DAS (Dependable Auto Shippers) to ship my 2000 911 from Las Vegas to Kansas City last month. Ship time was 7 days. A nice feature was being able to track the car via their website. Once in KC, the car was delivered on a flatbed tow-truck, and the guy was very careful when unloading it, so it seems that DAS contracts with reputable local companies as well. Hope this helps.
