How long until you changed your tires?

How long will the tires last until you have to replace them? Street driving only (hard). Front? Rear? I know it might be different on each brand but i think that there coulb be an average.

Thanks

A

If you get 10k out of your rears, you're doing well. On my '99 (sold) I got average of 10 on the rear, 15 on the fronts.

I got 10 on the rears of my '99 and after 10 more would replace all four.

I've gotten quite a few miles on my rears. I have about 17k (Bridgestone SO-3's) and the fronts are now ready to be replaced. On my stock tires I got about 12k.

About 9700 on the rear tires, and they had no tread left.

16,000 miles on the last set of rears...this set...I'm at 15,000 and one track day...they are probably about 70% done. They are now, Conti SC2. Which suck...they are noisy. Not sure what I am going with next, but it won't be these again.

My 03 C4S has the Conti SC2's and I have approx 15k on the rears and they are fading fast!! No track days per se, but have driven the Tail of the Dragon! Not sure what I'll do next given the 295/30R18 rear size ... not as many options.

On my S02-A's the middle tread seems deeper than the outter treads. Is this natural or uneven wear? I have 8 K on them

I have 17K on my TT and 24K on the Boxster. Both are about ready for new shoes on the rear. Fronts still good.

i got 10K out of two different sets of rear stock contis on my C4. i replaced the rears at 10K, then both at 20K. the fronts were definitely totally worn at that point. and both sets of rears were totally worn at 10K.

i got about 12K out of my snow tires (dunlop winter sport M2). funny thing is, the front and rear tires wore out at about the same time. i still don't understand that...

On MY00 and MY03 coupes both running PS2 and Dunlop (on 00 only) always have gotten 8-9k on rears and 18-20k on fronts....I drive hard and live in a very hot climate (S. Florida) I am just ordering new rears today funny...IMHO the Mich PS2 is the best sprot tire on the market nothing compares

Cool

I just replaced my rears 2 days ago at 12,300 miles. That's including one day at Sebring.
Michelin Pilot Sport.
