02 Carrera or C4S
Ok, so I'm looking to get my first 911. My first p-car was a boxster, then my wife and I got a Cayenne S and now I'm looking to get a 911. So my question is do I get an 02 CPO'd Carrera or possibly an 02 C4S. BTW, I intend to use this vehicle as my DD. I've been dreaming about 911s since I was a kid so whatever I get will be driven daily. Any and all comments are welcome.

excuse me, is there a question here?
C4S, absolutely. I drive mine everyday, just as I drove my 911SC. the C4S is just an awesome car. Very smooth, easy to drive, and massive torque when you want it.
good luck. but, really, you can't go wrong either way.... jl

Thanks for suggestions/comments so far. I'm sure your right judgejon, I can't go wrong either way. I'm leaning towards the C4S but my brain is in a tug of war with itself. My initial thought going into this was to find a nice Carrera. However, reading posts and looking at pictures on this board can be infectious. LOL!! Thanks again for the feedback.

uhhh i have a c4s, but i'd advise you to drive both first. they'll feel different. the carrera is lighter and rwd obviously. the c4s is more gt coupe.
though i prefer lighter and rwd, the looks of the c4s absolutely made it a no brainer for me not to say that the carrera doesn't look good either.
the 996 c4s is one of the very best looking water cooled 911s created.

As Ben said drive both, they do drive more differently than many people realize.
At the risk of being flamed I'd say buy the C4S if you are interested in looks, and the C2 if you are interested in perfomance (flamesuit on).
Furthermore, for virtually the same money you can choose between a C4S or and '03 40th anniversary model (that came with the X51 standard as well as many other options).
The C4S looks nice, but the 40th anniversary would be a hands down winner for me.

I'd have to agree with Ray and also what Ben said. Drive both, they are surprisingly different beasts. The C2 is a 'purer' drive but most prefer the looks of the C4S. There are loads of pros and cons to each variant, only you can really tell. Figure out what's important to you and buy the best example you can find.
