Found a good deal on a X51 kit for my99 C4 $5000. Is it worth the mod and how much would install cost, keep in mind dealer will replace engien anyways due to RMS under warranty, so it will cut install cost. Thank you

 

This is the best way to boost your power with real hp gains keeping the reliability. You´ll feel the dif. in power mainely at high revs, 4500 up, do it.

They had an X51 for 98-01 Carreras?

 

The X51 is for the 3.6L which is for 996 02+

 

They do offer the X51 kit for the 99-01 3.4 however it is offered through Euro Porsche.

 

The $$/HP ratio of X51 versus Supercharging makes the Supercharger a no-brainer.
X51 is simply not worth it

 

i'd say for $5K, DO IT!!! you get porsche reliability and engineering as opposed to aftermarket try-to-mimic-porsche engineering. i'm not putting down any of the aftermarket guys, but they're not porsche! the supercharger may get you more power, but it'll cost you twice as much. and you can always add a SC in the future!

 

What will the X-51 do for the 99 C4? - ie hp gains, torque, etc?
