Orient Red 2003 C4S
#17
Hey, thanks all! Hard to believe I started this thread back in 2008. Still really like my 996. Something about Porsche lines remind me of the old Jaguar XKE I always wanted but never got around to buying. Maybe that's why I was drawn to the wood interior too.
I am a fan of "non-traditional" colors, and have been really happy with Orient red. Lots of comments on the color--even when just filling up with gas. Of course I would kill for something in Gulf Blue or Mexico Blue, but not holding my breath.
Still running super. While still on CPO I was able to get a new engine due to high oil consumption so I should be set for quite a while. I have driven other cars in the meantime, but they leave me feeling quite happy with the one I have.
Love the PSS10s.
Regarding the question on the pedals: They are from Rennline. Easy installation and nice quality. I like the extension for the gas pedal too, which helps with the heel/toe technique.
Now, if I just lived somewhere warmer . . .
[note: bbsLMs with Blizzak snow tires . . .]
