I now have sometime before I need to choose the tyres. Apparently, the Contis are also available in HK. Funny thing is, it is also a lot cheaper than the PSII (which I believe is the same case as everywhere else).

Is there a particular reason for it or is it just that Michelin thinks it can flog off the PSIIs at a higher price?

 

I think michelin have to recoup all those marketing dollars they spend.

I've only tried ps2 and pzeros so here's my take from that experience. My ps2 has 3500 mi so far.

The ps2 is a tad more quiet than let's say pzero. Rides a bit better than pzero. Tad more predictable in corners. Break away and recover smoothly. Treads are deeper, which may mean better in the wet and last longer. Haven't rained here in calif bay area yet so can't say for sure.
The ps2 was pretty neutral on the track. Didn't squeal.

Would I get ps2 again? I'd probably give another brand a try.

 

Looking for a high performance street tire for a high performance car.....PS2.
Given a choice I'd pick the PS2s over Contis anyday....but just my opin. I drove Contis last yr because they were only tire (besides Yoks) that were avail in 315/25-19. This year Mich brought the PS2 over to US......I changed as soon as I could.
Gallardos come standard with the same tire.
