I think it looks great. A cheaper alternative to the "covers" they sell. Personally, this is the one area of the 996 that I dislike the most and would be the first thing that I modified if I had one. Great job, I'd do it.

Wow! Tint! Did it hold up?? Mine are black black!! Like ima spend some time modding a new signal light tom!! I'll post pics of that when it's done!!

 

Ya I painted the actual light! I was the best turn out in my own opinion! But then again I go alittle 2 far sometimes and end up hurting my wallet!! LOL!!!

 

Came out well and it's a nice way to hide the yellow of the MKI headlights. I actually prefer the look of the 996 MK2 headlights more than the round "Frog Eye" Porsche look. Interesting that the headlights are one of the more controversial items on the 996...people tend to either love or hate...

 

I happen to be in love with the old frog eye!! And thanx for all the compliments!!

And what do you do for turn signals?

 

I'm goin to mod my side markers with some led signals! If they turn out like I envision them I'll build a couple and make some kits with instuctions and pass them on for a couple bucks!

 

That's pretty cool. I kinda like it.

 

does the signal light see through the paint?

what happens when you get rock chips? the paint would come off easily.
