Rear Wing or no?

Rear Wing or no?
Updating my 911 with aero kit sides skirts and front bumper. Have not decided on whether to go out and put a rear wing? Any thoughts? If yes, which one should I consider. Thanks .... A

Personally I think the 996 in general looks 10X better with a rear wing. But when I was a kid all of my 911 Hot Wheels had big whale tail wings, so that's what has been ingrained in my head as the "proper" look for a 911.
I've got the TechArt wing and like it, but although a little big I really like the Gemballa whale tail type of wing.

If you add a front spoiler, Porsche says you must add a rear wing for aerodynamic performance. And, it does look better.

That is not correct. Due to the weight distribution on 911s, you need to replace the front bumper to an aero improving front downforce when adding a rear wing. You can, however, change to an aero front bumper and sideskirts without adding a rear wing.

I ran a taco wing with the stock bumper, and despite triple digit speeds, I was not able to get the car to flip front over back more than a couple of times.
When I switched to a C4S bumper, I couldn't feel a bit of difference. Nor could I tell a difference when I put on a GT3 RS wing.
If the car weighs around 3000 pounds, and the front carries around 40%, or around 1200 pounds, you can spare a few pounds of downforce and still keep the shinny side up.
