Trunk Lid - Help!

Is there a way to open the trunk lid (2004 996) after pulling the stupid move of disconnecting the battery, closing the lid and pushing the lid down on the latch (and automatic action on my part) to secure it?

I can't find a solution in the manual...Is there a way out of this mess?

The trunk lid is now open. Thanks to Poursha for sending along the instructions!

You have to use a connection in the fuse box and a piece of metal and give it power then pop the trunk...stupid POS design, happened to me.
