If you have jack stands it's really simple to do, and there is no reason not to save yourself some money and do it yourself. You can find oil filters online or ebay and the oil is usually available at Walmart. Just make sure you also get the oil plug washer.

I have done mine. I use a pair of ramps and back my car up on them. A pool chemical (washed out of course) bucket and the oil and filter. I also have a wire mesh panel I can put over the bucket to set filters on to drain. It puts the car at an angle but so far so good. If I want it level I can just jack up the front and level her out. I did this when I put on my new oil pan. (the x51 pan, from Suncoast, thanks guys).
My cost is normally less than $70.00.

You just need to back the car up the ramp halfway. Otherwise it'd be too inclined, you need an even surface if possible. If you don't have ramps, don't bother buying a set. Just use some wooden planks stacked up (2x4 or wider), all you really need is about 4" clearance. And, with front of car facing inside, if you have the rear tires just at the garage door/driveway, that will give you some extra room too.

The only difference that i can see which i just learned today is that any work a Porsche Dealer does ends up on the car's Carfax report...so there is a perminant record of service

Do it yourself. Takes no more than 45 minutes (with 25 minutes of letting the oil drain out) working slowly. It's one of the easiest cars I've changed oil in. Save yourself a bit of change and have the satisfaction of doing it yourself.

check with your local pca and get a list of mechanics that tech for the track...you'll probably find an oil change for $ 100

Easy job for me. I back up all the way on the ramps. I have a second set just incase I feel the need to be level. I use two floor jacks and bring each side up a little at a time to put the front ramp under the wheels.

I like the idea of doing as much of my own work as I can. There is no one who cares for my car as much as I do. I took a suburban to the dealer once for an oil change and afterwords I was checking something on the front end and noticed the oil change tech did not even get the grease gun on the fittings, he left a nice fresh pile of grease on top by the fittings. I took the vehicle back and since have done my own work most of the time.
