Lowering my car...Will wheel wells rub???
Hi All,
Got my H&R springs item # 29466 for my 2004 996 C4s.
Currently have Champion RG5 19" rims with 295/30 19 ps2's
There is only 1 1/4" room from the top of the tire to the wheel well. The new springs should lower the car 1". Does anyone know if the tires will rub if i hit a bump? My stock 18" rims were 24" overall my new 19" rims are 25 3/4" This has changed the handling of the car that is why im lowering the car but i dont want it to rub against the wheel well. Any suggestions?? The springs are going in next weekend....

Your wheels won't but your tires might
The rears will probably be fine, what size tires are on the front, and what are the offsets for both front and rear?
OT - what's going on with the wing(s) on your car. Is that two you have?

I don't know if 295/19's are wider than you should go. Mine is lowered with Pss9's and have 19" Champion RG5's. My guess is your wheels are the same size as mine. I have 245's up front and they rub a little when the wheels are locked. 235's would be better. The rears are 275's and that seems to be about right.

The rear wing is from Gemballa. Here is a pic
The upper wing adjusts manually up and down. The tt upper wing adjusts mechanically. I felt the car needed a wing and this was the one i liked best.

Thanks for the feed back. It may just make it the rears it will be tight someone suggested i can rollover the fender lips that may help. In the fronts I have a 2 1/2 inch space tire to wheel well which will be plenty of room. I'm guessing that because it is awd the front is jacked up alittle.
Just heard a sport pse exhaust with a k&n cold air filter big sound difference. May be looking to get one any advice pos or neg...

No. I misread the OP and thought he had a NB like me. I have 19x10 rears and run 275's. If I had 18x10 wheels I would run 295's. If I had a WB with 19" wheels I would run either 305 or 315's depending on offsets.

my fault didn't realize you had a widebody. you shouldnt have to worry about rubbing with 295s

What size front tires are you running w/ the 295's?
Be careful matching up the rolling diameter Front to Rear or you will burn up the front diff.
315/25 & 235/35 are a near perfect match.
Depends on the wheel offsets.
I'm running 315/25/19 in the rear, lowered with JIC Coilovers and have no problem with clearance.
