I am waiting to hear from the company so will let you know tomorrow.

They seem like a big out fit....I think the full kit including the lights will be about $3,500?

Think I am going to go for it!!! :-)

I don't think it will be......the 996 to 997 kit....two fenders and the bumper costs 1700 euros,(probably a bit more with a gt3 bumper) gt3 rear bumper 500 euros, 997 complete light kit inc cables 975 euros......and hopefully they will do a deal for the job lot.

I've currently got a factory gt3 aero kit so I don't need the side skirts and I'm going to see how the kit looks with the gt3 aero rear spoiler.....if it looks pants I will probably go for the misha GT2 rear wing?

Will post the exact price tomorrow when I speak to them :-)

I am more curious to know about the quality of material when you get it. I want to do the same conversion.

FYI, check this out too: http://www.jacquemond.com/indexuk.htm

Incidentially, when I asked about quality, here's the reply I got back.

"Thank you for your mail.
Our fenders are made of very high quality fiberglass FRP.
Not the low quality fiber that you usually meet in the USA, but real high one.

Please have allok at the website on the " Quality of our parts " webpage.

Feel free to email us for any question.

Best regardS.

And, the price is just under $5000 with all the lights.

have they got a pic of a completed 997 with a full 997 gt3 kit?

for me with the value of the pound.......$5,000 wouldn't be far off 3,500 euros.....but when you have a look through their website that i posted up above.....seems like they are a big Porsche place.....do engines, break porsches, have a body shop...sell wheels etc.

plus shipping is a factor....I was tempted to go for a fiber werks gtr aero bumper....basically a 997 gt3look bumper using original lights and the shipping was $650 just to ship the bumper to the UK!!!

By the time you have everything painted and installed, it'd cost like $7,500.

Please don't do it, why would you want a "fake" anything? If you're doing it to be different, a better choice would be a Ruf or TechArt kit.

I hear what you're saying........but I think fake is a bit harsh guys.

I personally think the 997 gt3 front end is the best looking front end of any car in the history of damn good looking cars........and whilst I would love to buy a 997 gt3.....I can't afford one now or any time soon :-(

Now I don't want to pretend I have a 997 GT3 when I don't......for me it's not a status thing.......if there was an original body kit that looks better than the 997 gt3 front end I would happily purchase it....but in my opinion there is not.....so I will go for the 997 gt3 conversion.....purely because I think it looks sick and will bring me great joy just to sit and look at it.....and definately not because I want people to think I have a 997 GT3!

Just out of curiousity what is your opinion on putting a gt3 aero kit on a standard C2/C4.......do you view this as being fake?
Well I have a 99 C2 with a factory GT3 aero kit.......am I driving a fake car?

We all want to make our cars better looking according to each of our own personal preferences......how is this any different?

don't mean to start a heated debate by the way :-)
