My new trunk emblem

My new trunk emblem
Just changed the stock "Carrera" script for this PORSCHE emblem.
It's from a 914. I machined off the long pins and used a super strong double stick foam tape to hold them on. I used a cutting board and fresh razor blades to trim the tape.
It was a bear getting the double sided tape off from the stock emblem. I never would have got there without the 3M adhesive remover, but even with this awesome remover, it was tough.
The paint had Carrera embedded on it once I removed the emblem. I had to wet sand with 2000 grit and then machine polish to make it smooth.
The new emblem fits nice in the crease of the trunk lid.
The letters are spaced with a width of the letter apart. I used a marked index card to make each letter level and the same distance from the bottom of the trunk lid.
Let me know what you think?

It's a MA Shaw GT3 RS wing blade replica in carbon fiber with a clear coat finish. I believe it's 55" wide. The base is MA Shaw too and it's in fiberglass. It's an "insert base" which means it sits in place of the pop up section on the stock decklid.
I always liked the grill in the back of 911's and I wanted to keep as much of the original sheet metal as possible, so I went for that option. They have the standard GT3 reaplacement trunk lid as well if you like that. I'm not a huge fan of the bi-plane look of the stock GT3 lid either though.
