Did I go too far?

Ok, I think I fixed it?
I took off the original front and rear stripes and replaced them with a new set of the same design, but in a different position.
The front has been lengthened, and sloped downward about 1/3". The rear was shortened, and the whole thing raised about 1". Now the rear stays away from the lower curves, which is how the official GT3 RS stickers are positioned on the rear bumper.
I think it flows much better. What do you think?

When I first put on the wing, it was clear that RS wing is just like a huge straight plank of wood on a car with almost no straight lines in the design. So the stripe really helps and needs to be there like Porsche puts on the RS. I saw another silver GT3 with with the RS wing and no stripes and it looks like the wing belongs to another car.
So to me, it's not a question of to stripe or not to stripe, but how to stripe. I didn't want to put on the exact GT3 RS stripe because I didn't want to pretend to be a GT3.

Ok, I am going to take that advice. I just order a set of some cheapo CF covers for the mirrors. I'm doing everything on the cheap and so far it's looking good. These only cost $150 versus >$1K for better options.
Don't beat me up. If I had the money to blow, I'd just order a brand new GT3 RS from the factory.
I'm going to use left overs of the black vinyl to wrap the red parts of original mirror shells that will be left exposed after the covers are put on. I tested it, and that vinyl is amazing at stretching around corners and making it look just like paint!

the stripes on the bumpers have got to go IMO! Especially seeing it on the 3/4 shots. It works well on the side of the car b/c it's flat, but the lines of the stripes dont correspond very well iwth the curves/lines of the bumpers making it look like an afterthought.
But, I have to say that I LOVE the Porsche letters on the back.

Yea, the stripes are a bit awkward on the bumpers. Without something there though, the rear looks like a big red tomato. Might need some more thought... Maybe a turbo rear bumper...
Thanks on the PORSCHE logo. I bought the letters from Pelican Parts. When ordering them over the phone, the sales guy made it clear he didn't like the idea. They are for a 914, but they have modern cut to the letters, so I felt pretty good that it would work on my car. The straight length of the logo seems to help the wing blend in.

not a fan of the stripes. makes the car look dated......and you really don't need to advertise it's a porsche.......just the shape of the car alone would scream porsche.
otherwise....very nice ride.
