what oil is best for my carrera 2 ?

This will be good. Normally I have to go to Renntech to watch these fireworks! Most use Mobil 1 0W-40, sometimes also referred to as Mobil water.
I now use 15W-50 during the summer. That's enough to get things started

Did you mean to say "due to NOT using the Porsche recommended Mobile 0-40" ?????
I think it really depends on the temp ranges in the climate where you drive.

No but I was being a smart ****. Many oil wars. The answe is simply to use the recommended oil as per the manual.

Decide if you want better gas mileage, less protection and more oil burning and foaming or better protection for your engine. If you decide on the former, Mobil 0W40 (WATER) is the easy choice.

Yes they do, but the reason is not because it offers the best protection for your engine. It is the factory fill in order improve gas mileage and provide higher hp and because Exxon/Mobil compensates them to do so. Mobil should give them the oil for free since so many have to buy another quart everyday at retail, just to keep their engine filled.
I suppose the Porsche battery is also the best one for your car because of the factory install?
