Question 5'10" & 250lbs (38" waist) - What Racing Seat You Suggest

Okay, it seems like every seat I look for is tight, so wanting to know if you guys have any suggestions on "wide" seats for a guy my size. Preferably in a Light Grey (but not necessary). Thanks for the help guys, I've got the Tequipment Roll-Bar w/ Cross-Brace installed and would like to get a racing seat (prefer reclining, but can live with fixed back since the bar is prohibitive) for the 5-point harnesses.

Cool

I just finished installing my A4 Wides and I am very happy!

Not full bucket racing seats, but very supportive and comfy.

himself - thanks for the suggestion, i'm actually looking in to the Euro GT3 seats but VERY pricey

FLY996 - I'll check out Status. Seats look great. Do you have a set in your car? What are your thoughts

gerk - I'm looking for two seats, but send me a pic just in case

Terry (Brando) - SEND ME SHOTS OF THE FINISHED PRODUCT. I'm supposed to go check out a set of the Corbeau A4's tomorrow per your suggestion earlier. Can't wait. I may go with those, but wanted to see some shots of them installed in your car buddy!!!

MCM97 - THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR!!!! hahahahhaaha

I have carbon fiber GT3 knock-offs which would be to small for you. Status GT's would be a great choice....here's mine

Check out the Sparco Evo 3. Here is how they describe it.....

The widest seat made by Sparco. Same as the Evo seat, but 2" (5 cm) wider across its inner dimensions. The Evo 3 is designed to be a comfortable fit for larger drivers. Available in black in fiberglass shell only; side mounting. FIA homologated.

Check with Maxspeed Motorsports for the seats. Red belts from Suncoast, harness from HMS Motorsports.

I'm a big boy as well, I have the Cobra Imola S from Sube Sport. I track the car twice per week and also drive long distances for tours. They work well.

Sit in the seats before you buy them!!!! I am 6'2", 205lbs, and a 36" waist. I only fit into a few seats. I went to HMS Motorsport and sat in their array of seats but I can only fit in three of them. Recaro Profi XL, Recaro Hans SPG XL, and Racetech 4009 XL. I couldn't fit in an Cobra seats. The problem I have is the shoulder harness slots are too low on most seats for me to use them safely. I do have a corbeau seat I run in my 85 BMW 325e thats a good fit as well, I think is a forza 2. I would like the gt3 seats in my 996 but I can't find anyone that has them to try one out and make sure I fit. So before you buy, try it to make sure you fit.
