IPD Intake Plenum on 996 X-51 - 26HP & 14 FT/LBS
I have an 04 996 40th Anniversary with the X-51 (26,700 miles) and just bolted on an IPD intake plenum this weekend. The dyno results are in my profile photo album, but the long and short is that we did 3 baseline pulls (all very consistent output) with the best at 299 HP and 236 ft/lbs. Installed the plenum and pulled 314 HP and 250 ft lbs on the 3rd pull. The computer was adjusting on every pull (we didn't reset it) so it is possible it may be putting out slightly more at this point. The biggest gain was 25.6 HP at 6628 RPM.
Dyno was a Dyno Dynamics, all numbers uncorrected at the wheels in 3rd gear.
I've put about 150 miles on it since install and no driveability issues or check engine lights. Definitely feel a difference. Well worth a look if any of you were wondering. Not much info on tuning parts for X-51, so I hope this helps. More to come...

The IPD Plenum (Innovative Pro Design) is the products proper brand name but many folks call it the RSS Plenum since we are the exclusive distributor. It's the same product. Thanks... B

Their uncorrected numbers...SAE corrected will mean lower numbers. The fact is it looks like he gained 14rwhp at the peak, more at other rpm.
