C4S Road Noise Wheel Bearing update
had the 2 front wheel bearings changed, they were not worn but they were dry, hardly no grease and the noise is still there, had 2 different Porsche guys check the car and they find nothing else wrong and say its normal road noise,i guess they are right but i have a 99 C2 cab and dont have this noise

Maybe it's tire noise... If you've got a C2, just try swapping out the front wheels with your C4S and see if that makes the noise go away. I know the rear wheels won't be interchangeable because the C4S is a widebody, but I think the fronts should swap over okay.
I'm doing this myself sometime this week. I've got a rub issue in the rear of one of my Porsches and I'm going to swap on some different wheels to see if that's the problem.

i just put a new set of Sumitomo HTRZ's,no change in the noise,i thought it might be tires also,i needed rears anyway so changed them all out,it had Continental Sport Contact 2"s,maybe this is normal road noise for this car,im going to try to drive other C4S cars and see if its there Thanks

Sorry I can't help more. I've got an '03 C4S with the Conti Sport Contact 2's, but I've also got Fabspeed bypass pipes. I would have no idea if I have tire/road noise or not as my ears bleed from the roar of the open exhaust.

Is it at all speeds? In both turns and straights? When was the last time you changed your front diff fluid? I'd start checking suspension bits since you've already replaced the bearings and tires.

i didnt change the front diff fluid, the porsche tech never even mentioned that,i think he said it was a sealed unit.is that true?,as for the tires i took off there was nothing abnormal, just usual wear
