Rebuilt Engine Company - Long Beach California

Has anyone heard of UFOMotorsports?

My engine came to a complete failure due to the 6th cylinder coil leakage.

I trying to see if they can rebuild my engine. Their price is VERY reasonable. I just want to find out if anyone's heard of them and if they are reputable.

They are located in Long Beach, California.

Thanks,
lakhoon

I have talked to these guys on the phone, but never actually used them. maybe someone else has.

What exactly do you mean by "6th cylinder coil leakage." Never heard of this.

Sorry... not "coil leakage"... valve problems. The leak check show a low PSI compared to the other 5 cylinders.

I have not tried them however, I had Strasse Auto in Newport 949-645-1928 install a rebuilt in my car and comes with 1 year warranty and where reasonable. Great guy Robert and they do great work and are near Long Beach you can stop off and look around if you are local.

Do they have their own website? The link didn't work for me. I tried searching them online, and no luck.

THanks~

if it is valve problems that could be remedied probably less then a new motor if you just rebuilt the cylinder heads.

if its more then i can see why your looking for another engine.

while you have the motor out might as well do a IMS upgrade to it.

Problem Resolved

Thanks all for your comments!

After I got my engine fixed (will explain in detail), I shipped it over to VA. I then proceeded to go cross country with my other vehicle. Long drive, but we've not just settled in...

So, I ended up going to UFOMotorsports. The guys there are awesome! It's like one of the mom/pops store, but they focus on just one thing~repairing engines.

In less than 24 hours, they pinpointed the issues to the lifters. They replaced 4 of them and replace the RMS. No issues!!

Got my car back in 36 hours....

Thanks!
