Hello,

I've heard that oversea, it was possible to remotely open and close the convertible top of the 996 series with the key remote. Is this upgrade possible for a canadian 996 c2 1999 ? Does anyone know the parts that is involved ?

Bo, I have added this feature with my Direct Electronics Alarm, any good alarm installer can add this feature

I have ben trying (unsuccessfully) to add this feature to my cab for a while now.
I had no idea alarms can handle that.

Do you have to carry an alarm key fob? Or does it work with your original key?

 

Please post more details... Ive heard that you ca have an extra set of key that you can order from EU... is that something possible ?

My 99 C4 cab had this feature added through the Clifford alarm. Done by the former owner so no idea of cost. Very convenient, worth doing. Auto open and close.
