I did a search and there is no recent activity on this subject that I can find so don't flame me for the inquiry.

I just bought a 99 992 C2 and it has the 993 style four spoke steering wheel in it. It is the light grey leather interior and I have already purchased the later three spoke steering wheel, but I don't have the airbag. I paid $200 for the wheel, but so far the best deal I have found on the airbag is $500 shipped, and thats a vinyl one. Is this a lot? If so where are the better deals? I feel like that's is to much, I look forward to your responses.

 

You find them once in a while on Ebay. Also, check with Jeff Clark at Sunset Porsche. When I got a 3 spoke for my car I needed an Airbag. At that time the Leather airbag was actually less than the vinyl air bag (explain that one to me), but it was still close to $500 new. I found a used one, vinyl, for a couple of hundred. Also check with Oklahoma Foreign, DC auto and some of the other wreckers.

As an aside, technically airbags have to be shipped as hazardous material.
