Yellowing Headlights

I have an '01 C2 and my litronic headlights are beginning to yellow a bit. It looks like it is only on the surface and I wanted to know if there is any way to fix this? Possibly polish it somehow?

Then put on LaminX to further protect it.

BTW, on lighter cases, Megiuar's PlastX can also work.

3m has a highlight polishing kit that would help.

Great to hear there are some good solutions out there. Do I run any risk of ruining my headlights with the wetsand? I am not too confident with my abilities and am wondering if I should just take it to a detail shop.

Trent - May I ask how much you paid for yours? They came out great!

I did a 2000 grit wetsand followed by a polish and it looks better but not perfect. I'm going more aggressive with the 3M kit next. The DIY on renntech looks great.

Checked with Walmart, they offer the service for $39.99, takes 30-40 minutes, let sit for an hour, keep dry for 48 hours.

Seems that most Walmart automotive bays offer this service.

I currently have 3 headlight restoration kits. Permatex, 3M, and Glass Technology. My MBenz is getting its headlights worked on right now with the Permatex. My LR3 will get to use the 3M. After both these vehicles are done, I will post the results here.

Whatever you do, do it by hand. If you use an electric drill to do it, and you do not know what you are doing, you risk overheating the plastic and you'll see white marks (because the plastic melts) that will horrify you. Ask me how do I know.

Better by hand unless you are skilled.
