996 carrera 4s exhaust question

Hey guys i picked up a set of cargraphic mufflers used, their website says the same part number for the c2, and c4s. Well i went to install them on my car using the stock c4s tips, althought the mufflers fit it seems, the outlet pipe of the muffler is about 2 inches higher then stock , making my tips not come done far enough.

Are there longer tips i am suppossed to use to make this work?

you should be able to use the tips from your stock mufflers..the cargraphic part number and product description should be on a tag welded to the muffler...if you have the correct mufflers are you sure you installed the stock brackets and tips correctly...

i double checked the part numbers with the tag. I had the mufflers side by side when i was swapping over the bracket, and tip. I was careful to match the orientation of the parts. The muffler bolts up fine to the car. along with the cats, just seems the stock tips arent long enough to reach the the proper location by about two inches.

rs2k2k,

The Cargraphic Part # CARP96ETS (Super Sound) or # CARP96ETR (Medium Sound) will fit the 996 C4S perfectly and allow you to bolt-up your existing OE tips. I personally run one on my 996 C4S with no fitment issues. Feel free to give us a call and we can assist you. Is it possible that the used set you purchased may have been modified? The Cargraphic System offers significant adjustment as well. Contact us when you have a chance, we are here to help. Thanks

thanks for the reply, I figured out the problem on this specific set theres an intermediate connector in between the muffler outlet pipe and the tips. The previous owner forgot to give them to me. I wasnt expecting it, cause ive never seen a 996 mufflers to tip conection like this one. Maybe its because this is an older model?

Ill take pics when i install
