Baby Seat for 6month old 15 pounds

Am I dreaming or is there a way I can fit my 6month old (15 pounds) in my 2003 C4S coupe? Pref. in the rear seats...I know the dealer has a system that will deactivate the front air bags, but wouldn't it be safer in the rear? Am I dreaming or should I just stick to the 4 door Lexus and call it game over on driving my 911? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks..

I'm thinking the same thing for my 4 1/2 month old. But the tequipment roll bar w/ cross brace makes it impossible.

Breakthru is infamous around these parts
Plenty of people have car seats in the back. I have one back there right now, it's a Britex that seats my 3 year old. I've also managed to squeeze a Recaro [much larger car seats] back there as well at one point.

So to answer your question, yes. It can be done easily.

are their sensors in the front seats to measure the weight of the passenger? My Chevrolet had this ability? Or should I pull the abs fuse when I have an underweight passenger up front?

Not sure on the sensors, but you need to deactivate the airbag..dealer offers this option...

I have two car seats in mine right now. An Eddie Bauer forward facing for my 2 year old and a backwards facing graco without the base for my 4 month old.... AND the wife still fits in the front. The perfect family cruiser.

Wow, you've given me hope!! Now to get busy and install it. Another plus to my baby riding in the car is the sound of the engine and my performance exhaust system will put him to sleep faster!! Another reason to keep the ride and not dump it for the minivan that my wife has been hinting about.

Peg Perego(Rear facing-Non base) is a Negative Ghost Rider. Passenger seat all the way up will not lock in position from tilting. Now to look at the Graco seat...

Just as a data point, the "Chicco" rear facing infant child seat works. Now that we've "graduated" (I can't believe what a scam the baby industry is) and "need" a new seat for my 11 month old, the Britax Boulevard front/rear facing works without having to remove the rear seat cushion. I set it up as front facing. The rear back rest would have to be removed.

Bumping this up as I hope someone can comment on how easy or hard it is to get a baby in and out of a rear facing seat in the back.

Anyone have pics of their setup in the rear(both forward and reaward facing)?

Also, has anyone transported two babies(or toddlers) with 2 baby seats in the back?

Yes, I'm trying to have my cake and eat it too.

I've only done forward facing once my daughter turned 1 yr old. I think rear facing is too much of a pain. Besides, my wife acts as a speed limiter when the kid is in the car...

Forward facing is the only way you will get one in....give it 6 more months and a regular car seat then it will fit just fine. The other good thing about your C4S is the bottom seat cushion is slightly wider on our cars.

You can also pull out the bottom seat cushion. When I did that, my Britax fit in a little tighter.

Man, maybe my seats are different than everyone elses, but we went to a car meet sunday 45 minutes from home with 2 kids (one in rear facing, one front), my wife, and myself with no issue at all. Well, one issue..... "SLOW DOWN"

We have a Graco rear seat. Ill snap pictures next time we go somewhere in that car.
