He could end up owning your Porsche.
(Am I the only one that thinks it is not OK to physically assault someone in line at McDonalds?)
Am I missing something?

about a year ago I hear screaming comming from our parking lot. I keep hearing this girl yell call the police, he's stealling my car. Well my girl grabs the phone and I run downstairs where I find this girls exboyfriend just tossing her around trying to steal her car. I quickly pull him out and get him in a head lock on the ground after exchanging a few blows. Another person calls the cops and says how a guy was beating up his wife.
Well I sat and held him in a head lock for a good 20 minutes before he was calm down enough. Sure enough it took another 20 or so for the cops to even show up.
But when they did they came in full force, about 3 squad cars and 4 bikes.

More to the story....
As i made a left onto Veteran from Wilshire, i saw a UCPD, waved him down and told him what had happened. He told me that LAPD has really bad response times and said if it was in his jurisdiction, then they would have been all over it. He also said that even though we gave the police dispatcher that guys' license number, they probably wouldn't do anything with it.
Btw, my fries and chicken nuggets were cold but i was just happy my car was ok because as the guy hopped the curb, he was literally a foot from my car.
Arling, that's what surprised me most, usually there are always 2 or 3 squad cars hanging out at that 7-eleven so i never would have guessed it would take that long to respond.
I don't think it was a mistake to "assault" the guy since he could of hit me with his car... i only did what i did to try and physically restrain him. And in the end, i got my retaliation. Plus if i see a 5'10" balding caucasion guy with a swollen eye, i'll know it was him.

That sucks. Must have been very awkward and difficult waiting there in line with all those irate people behind you. Kudo's to you.
Legally, hitting the guy was probably not a great idea, but like you said, he could have killed someone. Drunk drivers are a ****ing waste.
