996 to GT3 exterior look

I just recently purchased a 2002 911 Carrera. I would like to put the aerokit for GT3 996 MKII. Front bumper, sideskirts, rear bumper, trunk, wing.

Can someone show me some pictures of their cars that has the same exterior mod?

I just like the look of GT3. Thanks!

If you use the front and rear bumpers, sideskirts, and trunk wing from a 996 GT3, your car will look exactly like a 996 GT3. I would go to that section of the board if you just want to look at them.

A lot of people in the 996 section do hybrids of bumpers from various manufacturers or styles, but a GT3 is a great look to go after. Keep us updated.

Yep. It would look exactly... like a GT3. Just make sure you get the front bumper in urethane, not fibreglass or it will crack on potholes.

The guys in the link sell the kit at a good price and they do good work. And, they have the front bumper in urethane.

I disagree. It will exactly like a GT3 thats been raised. I think a big part of the GT3's look is the lowered ride height, so it will not look exactly like GT3. You should be aware that the stock ride height of the US 996's is fairly high, especially compared to the GT3

PierceZ is right... you'd have to lower the car.

Absolutely agree, but I have the sneaking suspicion that the OP is looking for the profile of the body work. It is a given that anyone that posts pictures of 5 grand in body work has probably touched the suspension too

Hi There..

You can check out my garage here as one of my cars is a 996 coupe with a full factory GT3 aero kit. I think they have a nice look. Mine is Ocean Blue Metallic with Savannagh Beige. Not sure if the OEM kit is exactly as the one you are referring too, but worth a look..

Good luck...DC

Make sure you don't get an actual GT3 decklid, which ducts the air to the passenger side of the car... you'll want an Aerocup II decklid which ducts air to the snorkel on the driver's side of the car.
