Help getting the horn to work with the cup steering wheel...

I've just installed the Momo cup steering wheel. Followed various instructions from here. No problem fixing the air bag delete using the supplied resistor from Carnewal. However I just can't get the horn working.

Connected up the L shaped contact (soldered the brown+white wire from red connector) which supplies power to the brass contact on the boss. But what about the other wire. The horn only sounds when you complete this circuit. How do I get this wire up to the back of the horn button?

You can see in the picture the brown wire I'm talking about (temp wrapped on the top of aluminum face plate). If I touch this to the L shape contact the horn works so I know it's got correct power.

Has anyone got a fix for this?

Many thanks.

Dervish, I have the same steering wheel. I love it. I never bothered hooking up the horn and I still need to take care of the airbag light. I'll keep track of your post, to see if you get an answer on the horn. Thanks for posting.

The second brown wire isn't needed, just cap it and secure it. My trouble was the brass 'L' shaped connector wasn't make good contact with the boss. You need to bend it up slightly, with a little twist, so that it makes contact with the brass 'o' ring on the boss.

Now it works perfectly, such a great addition to driver feel...
