Matte black wheels vs. Gloss black wheels
Opinion requested!
I'm looking to pick up a set of mesh concave monoblock wheels with no lips.
Please give an opinion on a slate gray 996. which wheel you think would make it look snap. Gloss (piano) black vs. matte black
1 week ago, I wouldnt have even asked, and I would have ordered the matte, but this months "European Car" magazine features a 997tt in a close shade with a semi-glossy looking mesh monoblock that looks amazing.
I understand the repercussions of each - matte is harder to clean, piano is harder to keep clean.

Ok, Im set on gloss this time. I can always spray a matte clearcoat if I dont like it later...
Now the burning question- 19s that are really hot looking, or 18s that are nice an comfy, lighter, ride better, and are cheaper to put rubber on.
I'm on 18s on stock suspension now, had a lowered 996 on 19s before. Night and day difference, but the suspension is likely the main cause of difference

I like the semi glossy finish, but that also depends on the car colour.
if your car is close or the same as that 2nd pic then I'd go the semi gloss.
Matte is harder to clean but the semi gloss you can add a special wax coating which helps keep it cleaner longer. My friend has done it on his GTR and he has the cleanest wheels I have ever seen and there was no brake dust buildup too.
Oh and yes he does drive it.
