I've got HRE 540Rs on order...should be arriving any day now.

I've been told that the best fit (for 19x11 rear wheels) would be
295/25/19...however, there is no tire available with those dimensions.

Therefore, the best alternative is the 305/25/19 Pirelli PZero Rosso.

I'll probably end up getting the Rosso, but have heard some good reviews from the Continental Sport Contact IIs. However, the Conti's don't come in 305...just 175/30/19. Continental's 175 is a little wider than the average 175 wheel, so you might get away with using them and not see the "pinch" effect as much.

One very knowledgable supplier said that there is a 10% chance I would need to roll my fender...it really depends on my 996 since 19x11 is cutting it pretty close.

I called HRE and they recommended 285/30/19...but that would increase the total deminsion of our wheels (I think.)

Since I lowered my car with the PSS9s, I'll probably roll just to be safe.

I had Continental in the 295/25/19 size on my old turbo. I don't know if they were discontinued or not though. By the way, the new 997's use that same size, so you should be able to find that tire.

285/30 19 is the best fit to maintain the same overall height of the front 235 tire.

Any wider, and you need to go to an 11" wheel for a safe fitment.

Whats the widest one can go using an 18" wheel? - I like the 19's but have heard too many concerns with that size. I'd rather play it safe and stick with the 18's. So please post what is the widest I can go with 18's. thanks
