Bent Rims, any suggestions?
In a spirited driving session this weekend, I hit a HUGE pothole (thank you, OH Dept of Transportation), and blew out my right rear tire. After taking it to the dealer to have new tires put on it (I was gonna do it anyway), they said both the right tires are bent.
Not wanting to trust the dealer, I asked them to show me how out of round they are...sure enough, they're out of round. Is this typical of an 18" Turbo Wheel?
They are quoting astronomical prices to replace the wheels, so I'm looking for a recommendation to have them repaired instead. Anyone had a good experience?
Thanks,
Scott

Bent Rim
There are several places around the country that straighten rims, here in South Florida most dealers and independents use Sergio at Turbax 305-254-7434. I would check with your local Porsche Club guys and see if there if there is someone in your area that they use as long as the rim is not cracked they can usually be straightened.

Look for a set of take offs on Ebay, its very possible the wheel is out of round if you hit a deep pothole and the impact was great, you will then encounter a vibration in the car at highway speeds.
