I would have to agree with that statement. Initially, I had mixed feelings on the 997 look with the '99-01 headlights but after seeing how your car turned out, it actually looks good(less dated and newer).

I will probably keep my mk1 GT3 aero on for now as I'm more of a stickler for period correctness but damn, you are tempting me...

de-ambering has been discuss numerous times on this forum...if your headlights look like VIPR ETR avatar above, then it might be difficult to remove..look like its connected to the whole unit..if yours are the clear one with the amber lense inside, all you need to do is melted it with a soldering iron & pull out the amber lense...very simple if you have steady hands..

I have the euro litronics clear ones with orange amber lenses inside just like yours use to be. I don't know if I want to take a chance on opening the headlight closure to do the soldering iron to the melt amber or not. Can a good body shop possibly do it I wonder? Thanks for the tip

You don't need a body shop to remove the amber lense...& does not require to open the headlight closure..All you need to do is remove the signal bulb socket..Use a soldering iron(if u don't have one..just heatup a screw driver till it turns red) & start probing away at the corner & sides...becareful not to probe it to hard or you'll go thru the outer lense...It's the cheapest & simple mod you'll ever do (if you have steady hands)
