2nd Bay Area 6speedonline Annual Meet/Drive
Hi guys I'm pointing everyone over to this ONE single thread:
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...threadid=21348
Update: 1/28/05
OK folks, the starting point will be to meet at Carlsen Porsche where we'll be able to park and be provided with coffee and dougnuts (woo woo) at 9:30am:
After some chit-chat and stuff, I figure we should head down (we'll print out a route etc...) for a luncheon organized by Robert over at the Baja Cantina at 3pm. Let's head down in groups and please keep it safe folks- it's not a race. We'll do track days for more spirited driving (remember we don't want the coppers on us or any mishaps).
The Lunch Menu Will be a buffet (Robert got it down to 30 per head):
Chicken Quesadillas
Ceasar Salad
Vegtable Tray
BBQ Shrimp
Chicken/Beef Fajitas
Cheese Enchiladas
Robyn, Itzkirb, Robert et all will figure out the route soon.
Update: 1/27/05
OK folks a lot of you wanted to do a get-to-gether on Feb. 19th also and this is what works best with the dealer too so let's shoot for a first one (call it a pre-cursor) on the 19th. I'll figure out the timing so it works with Jeff's thing and doesn't get in the way. The next step is to have a second, full-scale meet at a later date not yet determined. Sorry if this seems complicated. So as of this moment keep Feb. 19th open and I'll post details of what we're doing etc.. soon.
--------------------
After the great job done by 6speedonline, Fred, Doug and RedlineRobert last year a lot of guys have been hankering for another meet/drive so after talking with Robert, Brian Haske at Carlsen and some of you guys we figured why the heck not- so lets get it on! I wanted to make some preliminary suggestions that are up for debate.
When would people prefer to do this? I was thinking Saturday February 19th? That gives everyone plenty of time to make plans etc... I'd say we all meet at Akkurat/Carlsen like last year and then Robert will pick up the slack for the south leg but we make the drive down South and eat lunch at Baja Cantina again and park there.
So what do you guys think? Are we game for it? Redline Robert, RobynC, ITzKirb, DpBlessing and myself so far will be figuring out the logistics....

Alex, my suggestion would be a LA meets Bay Area meet, somewhere centrally located for all!! Also when the weather is nice is a plus! I think 3 weeks out is a tad soon, the last one gave everyone a few months notice to plan.. Just my $.02 of course

Feburary 19th is the day for the wheel technical session in Santa Clara, and maybe dings and dents.
The shop has a vat of some nasty looking stuff. I wonder if Alex would fit in there?
