fastest car 60-0

not 996 specific but didn't know where to put it and couldn't find it on the internet. Does anyone know what the fastest stopping production car is 60-0. please excuse cars like the Veyron because of the air brake.

Time or distance?

One test showed the GT-R did it in 98ft.

I think I read the ZR-1 did it shorter than that.

oddly enough I would bet it is the Ultima, I realize that it is not a production car, but due to it's light weight I think it would be high on the list.

That's only 1 foot longer than the Porsche 911 Turbo equipped with the $8,800 ceramic composite brake package. It's also the same stopping distance as the last Dodge Viper we tested and 2 feet shorter than the Corvette Z06.
So I guess we can also extrapolate:

GT-R 104ft (by this tester)
Dodge Viper 104ft
911Turbo 105ft
Z06 106ft

*edit:
Edmunds.com also tested the 2010 GT-R:

This is probably where I saw the 98ft thing.

yea its just Road and Track, assume there using all stock comparable versions of automobiles, there is a 10 ft +/- variance so like I first stated "for what it's worth". Good version of that song by Tab Beniot by the way, check it out on Amazon.

^ Check... I was just adding other sources. I was in no way disputing your data. I'm sure mine could be refuted as well, from yet another independent test.

All of this should be taken with a grain of salt.

This is very true, reaction time depends on how many drinks you had before the tests

While I hadn't actually considered THAT as a variable, but rather braking surface, perception of the brake-start point, temp of brakes of each car before testing etc..., your comment may be valid with some reviewers (might even explain some of the stupid articles that have come out recently).
