Yikes, I hope your windows aren't tinted, the ammonia in Windex will fade the tint and kill the glue over time. You need an ammonia-free car-specific window cleaner, like Eimann Fabrik or Stoners...

I only used windex on the outside. For inside, i just use
lint free moist paper towel.
I had some silicon cleaner , but ran out.
